There's definitely an opportunity here, but Zack doesn't strike me as the sort to knock a party into shape ahead of seeking power. You can talk up members democracy all you like, but it's not really a viable alternative. You'll get a bunch of hobby horse spending policies then someone will sit down and make up a load of numbers that roughly balance. As I say, try that one with the financial markets.

One of the giveaways of how it'll likely go is the way the wealth tax is discussed. When it's pointed out that these don't raise much in other countries, people quickly pivot too "well, it's good anyway because there's too much inequality". There's something to be said for that, unless you're claiming you'll pay for tons of stuff out of the proceeds. Then you have a problem.
