Like most of the hard/far right, Hitchens despises our country, so given their current obsession with societal collapse, it was inevitable that he would reach this conclusion at some point. Whilst that isn't really old now I suppose, recently I was given a new debit card as my previous one had been 'skimmed' somehow.

The new one has an expiry date in 2030 and every time I use it online, I do find myself thinking "will I still be around in 2030?"
