Why weren't these the rules from the start? Lots of these people were obvious infiltrators who already have their party to muck about in.

I've thought before that Jez was rather too cosy with the SWP/ Morning Star types. Have a few other people who don't like them forced the issue?

I would think the Greens have got all their voters, apart from some of the oldest ones. One justification before was that Your Party knew more about organizing in minority communities. The Greens look pretty good at that now.

So not sure where there is for Your Party to stand?

My inside story on her protrays her as a less than serious (mature) human being, let alone politician.

Her defection and the formation of Your Party seems to have been planned whilst she was seeking election as a Labour candidate...

I’ve said it before, but she is beyond doubt the very thickest MP in the entire house. Makes two short planks look like Stephen Hawking.

‘They lost a historic opportunity’: Ken Loach laments Your Party infighting
Film-maker and longtime Corbyn ally says ‘poor behaviour’ squandered chance to unite the left in fight against far right
Your Party could definitely be getting votes now going to the Greens, but "unite the left"? This is fantasy stuff. Lots of the old socialists bailed out because it was obviously going to sea in a sieve. Once you lost them, many of them having plenty of baggage as Kippers and Russia-apppeasers, what were you left with? Jez, Sultana (who should have been kicked out), and a bunch of people with nothing in common beyond Gaza who in lots of cases would have been as happy voting for George Galloway. Why wouldn't you join the Greens instead?
“There is no relation to the labour movement or the interests of working-class people. They’ll do all they can to keep Andy Burnham out of the running because he’s just slightly to the left.”
Never mind working rights or big increases in spending, anything that happens without Ken and all must be bad for the working class. Andy Burnham wasn't an MP. While I support his return, it wasn't Labour Together that forced Burnham to run again for Mayor of Greater Manchester. The working class of course are all Corbynite and very socially liberal in this analysis. I wouldn't be surprised if lots of the Gaza voters were less than happy with "boats".

Your Party faction splits to form new party
The group cited frustration with Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership

https://www.newstatesman.com/politics/u ... -new-party (Paywalled)

A group of members have split from Your Party, citing frustration with Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership and accusing the party of having “squandered the enormous promise of 800,000 signups last summer.”

On Sunday, 250 people – many of whom are members of Your Party’s branches in England, Scotland and Wales – joined a Zoom call and voted to found a new left-wing party, called Socialist Federation.

Were those 800,000 sign ups real? The Green Party have 230,000 members. Are there really another 570,000 people who want the same but with more Tankie baggage?

Zoe Williams on Your Party. Has she never met the crank left before?
The political sticking points for Your Party, trans rights and the language around Israel and Gaza, read like they were handed to them by an antagonistic interviewer. They are issues upon which views diverge, but it should be possible for individuals to work out a common ground, rather than splitting into two parties..
Rope in a load of people mainly on the back of commitment to Palestine and find that they don't agree on trans rights? Who could have seen that coming? Though I'm surprised that it turned out they couldn't agree on Palestine either. It's not even like anything that happens in Palestine/Israel is under the control of the UK Government anyway.

Zoe can't risk an irrelevant dig at Starmer.
This doesn’t mean the Labour right has it all figured out, far from it. As embodied in Starmerism, it no longer has a political identity except to defeat its own left flank and, in its absence, projects a short-tempered purposelessness that even those with no interest in any aspect of Labour politics can perceive
People with no interest in politics think that the Government is shit when that's what they're told all the time?

Presumably the same clash is going to hit the Greens? A significant proportion of their supporters are adherents to a religion which tells them homosexuality is a sin, good luck finding common ground with them on trans rights.

As Mo Mowlam put it, the dogs in the street could have told you that every one of the left's parties of convenience would fall out over trans and gay rights.
