Nigel Farage was given £5m by the crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne shortly before announcing he would stand in the 2024 British general election, the Guardian can reveal.

Farage had stated he did not intend to stand as a prospective MP but U-turned in June 2024, within weeks of receiving the personal gift from the Thailand-based businessman.

In July 2024, Farage became an MP for the first time and has since stated he now expects to become prime minister at the next general election.

After being approached by the Guardian about the gift, neither he nor Harborne provided a comment – instead lawyers for Reform UK and Harborne pleaded for more time. Farage then confirmed to the Daily Telegraph that he had received the gift, saying it was to pay for his personal security.

Because they either use it or don't understand it.

Or get generous gifts from people who do use it.

This is currently the headlines on the BBC News story about Farage.

No obligation to declare £5m gift, Farage says

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c8jv8xl17l8o

If you can bothered to read the full article it goes on to quote.
The House of Commons code of conduct states that new MPs "must register all their current financial interests, and any registrable benefits (other than earnings) received in the 12 months before their election within one month of their election".
Surely it is up to the relevant body to decide if he is obliged to declare the gift or not and the relevant body can't do that unless Farage declares the gift in the first place.

The frog-faced cunt claims he is “the most attacked politician in modern times”. Really? More than David Amess ? Worse than Jo Cox ? Yet another lie. Cunt.

He also claims the 5 million quid is to pay for his personal security, apparently “for life”. He should tell us just what he is spending that 5 million knicker on. Show us the receipts, you cunt.

And what happens if (heaven forfend) he becomes Prime Minister, and is therefore entitled to state-funded personal security protection? Will he save the country money by eschewing that funding and continuing to use his fucking Christopher Harborne lifetime security fund instead ? Course he fucking won’t. He’ll bloody trouser it, the grifting cunt. Cunt. Cunt. Fucking cunt.

Dear fucking Christ almighty. He can say and do whatever he likes without any fear of condemnation or even criticism and his disciples will still say he's victimised.

I bet Stephen Bush will be along soon to tell us that Starmer is less attacked than Farage.

He'll get away with it. I have little to no faith that anybody with the power to reprimand him will bother to do so. Remember that little trip he took to Chagos a few months ago. Somebody paid for his return trip, some £25K, and he had the front to put it in the register of members interests as a "Humanitarian Aid Mission". Country's fucking cooked.
