The latest news from Birmingham (No Overall Control) is that yesterday an agreement was reached whereby the city council will now be run by a minority coalition comprising the Lib Dems, the Greens, the "Better Birmingham" independents group, and a couple of the other independents. The new leader of the council will be the Lib Dem leader, Roger Harmer, with the post of leader switching to the Greens' leader, Julien Pritchard, at some yet to be determined point in the future.
A curiousity is that the sole "Workers Party" councillor voted for the Tories to lead the council.
Meanwhile, there is evidence of some disharmony (shock, horror) within the largest group of councillors, Reform UK :
