Colbert, along with Jimmy Kimmell and other American TV hosts, has been a prominent critic of Trump. Who in turn has pressured the networks they work for to drop their shows, because he doesn't like being made fun of.

The Mail ran a hit piece on Colbert, seemingly written by someone whose development - emotional and intellectual - was arrested at age 16 for malicious communications.

I have noticed that when the Mail reports on an opponent of Trump they are labelled as 'woke' which is utterly bonkers. Trump is a f**king embarrassment so calling him out doesn't make you 'woke' or unusual.

That's it in a nutshell. They like to export their lies, bigotry and hatred. It creates kindred spirits and a few quid to help with the upkeep of the château.

Every Hittle helps.

That explains something.
I've often wondered why the Mail On-line carries stories from the US which normally we would only find in local news outlets. Needless to say, these stories are usually to support a certain view common to both parties, or tickle the salious taste buds.

In another article, the Mail takes aim at 50 year old TV presenter Emma Willis for having been young and single once:

https://www.pressreader.com/uk/the-scot ... 2167969453
Back in the mid-2000s, as an achingly-cool presenter on MTV, Emma was mingling with some of the world’s biggest music stars – many of whom, I’m told, were rather taken with her.

One of them was Robbie Williams, then at the height of his fame and yet to embrace sobriety. The pair met at the 2005 MTV awards ceremony in Lisbon when they were both drinking at the city’s Four Seasons hotel. I know because I was there – and I watched as they flirted outrageously. The following day I was told that they had enjoyed a romantic rendezvous.

And there is another ghost in Emma’s past – one which may set tongues wagging again now she has bagged the high-profile role on Strictly.

Again, it took place when she was single. But this passionate encounter would certainly raise eyebrows among the millions of Strictly fans if it were to become public knowledge.

Those who knew Emma then have confided that she enjoyed a ‘moment’ with a well-known man working in the music industry.

The unlikely tryst is said to have left those in both of their circles ‘absolutely stunned’. ‘It was a huge surprise that Emma got with this man,’ says my source. ‘You wouldn’t have put them together in a million years, he is so not her type.

Bold bits highlighted by me. But to summarise, single woman has sex with single man. Now sports.

"Mingling with" - fucked anything with a pulse.

And there we have it. Journo slags off someone they knew a few years back, turning every fairly passe incident into Fatty Arbuckle's birthday party meets the 120 Days of Sodom. Nobody gives a flying fuck. Nobody expects her to be purer than pure. Indeed, as soon as you mentioned MTV, I imagine quite a few people would assume that a certain amount of sex, drugs and rock and roll would be involved.

They expect the BBC to be a moral arbiter, then the moment it acts like one, it's nanny state gone mad. Arseholes.

50 year old isn't a virgin.
It's possible she may have had sex with more than one man.

Now, here's a 30 year old photo of her in a short skirt.

Is that supposed to mean 'put it about' Emma shagged any old soak if they were famous?

I rarely visit Mail Online but dared to look this morning. I clicked on the story about the horrendous wildfires in south west France. To be fair, it was more or less a straight up news report with lots of pictures which the Mail does very well. It was when I glanced at the comments that I shuddered. They're getting worse: a toxic mix of religious nutters claiming it's divine retribution, climate change denialism fuckwitery, glee that it's happening to the French, flippant, cruel, humour-free 'jokes' about wine, the inevitable link to migrants, clueless armchair forestry management experts, and the usual weirdos with no concern or empathy for the French people but concern for the innocent animals . How do so many people grow up to be so utterly thick and fucked up and drawn to express their poisonous views on the Daily Mail website? It's so utterly depressing.

I'm definitely a bit jaundiced about this, but I'm increasingly interested in this particular element. The other stuff all makes a kind of 'sense', if you're a dimwitted fuckhead. But what's interesting about the animal thing is not the dismissal of other beings as being worthless (see the other fuckheads), but that other beings ARE worth a lot, but specifically NOT the ones with complex capacities, i.e. humans. It's a particularly jarring fixation, and I think (based on not very much) it's a portal to a very dark worldview, but the surround of the portal is all lovely and twinkly and covered in love hearts and smilies.
