Have we had our Farage Kristallnacht - and failed to notice because it was across the water.

Please read the whole piece.

The night people in Belfast fled their homes because of racist violence

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cvgjxxz0mp8o
Pastor Jack McKee, from the nearby New Life City Church, is part of the rescue mission. As he is tending to those members of his congregation he has helped to safety, I take the opportunity to speak to him. He is furious.

"These members have been with us for 20 years. They've been put out of their home," he tells me.

"They are good Christian people and they are getting put out just because they are black.

"You are hurting innocent people here. There are men, women, and children living in fear.

"I am angry. I am disappointed that this is the response of people in our community."

McKee doesn't expect them to return to the place they've called home for many years.

It's often said that English people are ignorant of Northern Ireland. That's right, but there's plenty about a subset of Northern Ireland they may be better off not knowing. Farage flagging this group up may not be entirely to his advantage.

The Count of Dodgy Crypto strikes again.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... r-harborne

“I don’t want to live in a country with a central bank digital currency,” he told the crypto event. He added: “I’m prepared to go to prison to stop us having [central bank digital currencies] administered under digital ID. That is how committed I am.”
Fine. You know where the airports are, so fuck off and never darken our doorstep again.

What Farage means is what is the point of crypto if your transaction can be identified?
I've asked several Reform and GBN figures what use is crypto if you're not a criminal or terrorist but no one even bothers to reply.

It doesn't go well for Nigel
Yeah he told Nick Ferrari to mind his own business this morning as well.
That's Nick Ferrari ladies and gentlemen, the most blatantly right-wing presenter this side of GBNews.
Farage's latest lie is that he's donated the £5m to charity. This was said right after he repeated the lie that he needs it for security.
He accused the BBC of putting his life in danger by asking about it.

Also worth a listen.

Edit: Correction, it was the BBC that Farage accused of putting his lfe in danger, not Ferrari.

Awkward.

At the BCC conference, asked by the host, Sophy Ridge, the Sky News presenter, if Farage was right to say people did not care about this, Jenrick replied:

I’ve knocked on a lot of doors, trust me, in the course of the May local elections, the byelection, and in my own constituency, and I have to say, in all sincerity, not a single person has raised that question with me.

It doesn’t mean that it’s not a legitimate question for the media to ask, but it is not one that, in my experience, is on the tip of the tongue of people across the country.

Farage says it's not linked to his political work. He also says it's for his security. And why does he need security if not for his political work?

Well, the only people that would give the time of day to someone like Jenrick on their doorstep would be Reform voters and they wouldn't give a shit about anything that Farage has done.

He could shit on a plate and they'd happily get a knife and fork to eat it.
