I'm not and never have been on any social media so I read about them here and a few other places, but as not one of them has a single original thought in their thick, hateful heads, it's all so dull and predictable. It's only a case of how hateful and extreme the next one can be.
Some would say that's "living in a bubble". I prefer to think of it as protecting one's sanity. I've lost friends and family to the cancer of the right :(

Generic Starmer out rant, aside from 3 things.

One, the multiple references to "hard men", be they conveniently dead union bosses, have a go heroes, or similar.

Two, his definition of British patriotism: suck up to the USA.

Three, the overkill of his new 'joke' - say something, then ask if he's still allowed to say that.

Again, got the sense of Dacre leaning (figuratively) over his shoulder on this one.

Making love to Mrs Batty*.

Main article is a summary of another Mail journalist's highly tenuous feature piece on an elite MI5 psyops black bag conintel shadow government crack mind control crack sinister unit that is apparently blaming the far right (who aren't us, and we have nothing to do with those nasty street protestors although they have a point...) for all the bad stuff.

Yes, Mr seen it all before, can't fool me, made cynical by years of experience, is entirely advocating conspiracy crap.

Then he changes tack. A thing about world cup tickets is an excuse to stroll down memory lane and pretend he's a cockney geezer, little bit wooor, little bit waaay. Then a bunch of quick bits about animals. Snail racing? How does that work? Aren't snails really slow? Coodermaykitup! Heard about the fun event at some village fete that didn't get ruined by the hippies, due to them not being there and having no connection to the event? Coodermaykitup!

And finally, bran flakes, hur hur, people doing a shit.

*Fucking Nora.

It's hot, so it's net zero madness time. Along with a rather detailed examination of laws on A/C and emissions. However, he admits that much of this is not regulation but advice, so he invents some elf and safety people from "looney left North London caahncils" who are going around fining people presumably.

In other news, there's a Dad's Army reference. A joke about Burnham that falls flat*. A whinge about politicians being obscure, while insisting that nobody cares. And finally, fat people with tattoos, ugh.

As a regular reviewer, there's an odd feeling I'm sensing here. Like Dacre dictated it. I get that they're pretty much in lockstep anyway, but this one feels just a bit off. Don't get me wrong, he's still a cunt.

*Morrissey is a far right twat, but Burnham is still a fan of his old band, The Smiths. So, insert joke about a song Morrissey did as a solo artist.

So ventilation is now woke.

What do you think outside shutters on windows so prevalent in southern Europe are for you thick sod? And I would guess Mail readers would be nostalgic for high street grocers, butchers and bakers using awnings in the summer over fancy Yankee aircon.
the council insists on ‘passive cooling’ measures such as shading windows, whatever that means

I'm reminded of when Dominic Raaaab paid tribute to the late Paul O'Grady, saying "He wasn't woke...".

Everything is woke if you wish hard enough.
