Farage is going to be left looking a right chump.
Farage will sell it as "they were frit" to his faithful.

On the plus side, only his (decreasing number of) faithful will believe that bollocks.

I am really hoping it’s Bin Face Vs Frog Face. Get Farage pretending it’s a joke and failing because frankly he’s tried the same act on politics for 20 years.

I think I'd rather see Binface run and rip the piss out of the amphibian conman.

The spectacle of Farage attending hustings with smaller crowds than Chester Le Street on a rainy Wednesday amuses me.

I honestly think this is the time to elevate Binface to a Stig like hero.

You know the drill.
* Binface played the Sax on Gerry Rafferty's Baker Street.
* Binface is Banksy's fursona.
* Binface was a stormtrooper in (insert good Star Wars movie here).
* I already floated Binface is Harry Kane.

Ohh bollocks, I checked and his identity is already known.
Jonathan David Harvey, also known as Count Binface, is a British comedian and novelty candidate.[1] Binface is an "independent space warrior" who wears a large bin-shaped helmet. Harvey previously stood as a similar character, Lord Buckethead, but was forced to create a new character due to a dispute with Todd Durham, who owns the Buckethead character.

Meanwhile, Binface doesn't walk on water. He walks on Lego bricks.

Count Binface looks the way he does because he stole a bin and as part of a ritual to trick the Devil, kicked it over.

Count Binface is at your house right now, sorting your recycling out.

What about the second one, where Dr Spock dies at the end?

One thing about Bin Face he isn’t one of those who mocks politics he generally sees it as force for good.

Unlike Farage who will create 101 different allusions of enemies to explain why he is a man of the people.

It wouldn’t be so bad if it hadn’t been a staple of cnuts like him for centuries.

The man in the bin is more credible than a lot of politicians and that includes all shades. If you have to create an enemy then you are out in my book.

Neither do Farage's voters need Carol V to inform them that he's a dodgy misogynist racist prick. That's why they vote for him.

Binface's podcast is well worth a listen. I think he's a satirical comedy writer so the Zelensky comparison isn't far fetched.
That's a good point. Martin Bell stood and had a clear run in Tatton to give the electorate a straight choice - to expose Hamilton as corrupt and ask whether they wanted a corrupt MP or not. Their Clacton counterparts knew Farage was a dodgy bigot when they elected him; having that reinforced is pointless.

Breaking News : It would seem that that wanker Laurence Fox has announced that he will be standing in Clacton at the by-election.

Ah well. Maybe he’ll pinch enough of Farage’s vote to let Binface in.

I saw a Reform poster bang on about him getting 50 votes and showed a now cast. Problem is a Nowcast electoral bar chart cannot be reliable in a situation when all 4 major political parties bar reform pull out.

He will not lose his deposit and he could top 15%

One for the political nerds - if being appointed the Steward and Bailiff of the Manor of Northstead disqualifies you from being an MP (aka resigning as an MP), does holding this post disqualify a candidate from standing in or winning an election for a Commons seat? 'Cos if so and no one else resigns as an MP before the election, would the FFC have disqualified himself?

An interesting question, to which I think the answer must be no. The sole purpose of the continued existence of the archaic Stewardship of the Manor of Northstead and The Chiltern Hundreds is to facillitate the resignations of MPs. Crazily, MPs cannot ever resign, but have to automatically sack themselves by “seeking a paid office of the crown” - of which the Manor of Northstead and the Chiltern Hundreds are the only two remaining.

At a guess, once you’ve got the Manor of Northstead gig there’s probably nothing to stop you jacking it in immediately.
