This Ulster shit is deeply concerning, not least because the half-wit right are sharpening their teeth on what was, broadly-speaking, an isolated incident where, it is being suggested, two drug-mates fell out and the one with, it is being suggested, a three-figure rap sheet got hurt. Indeed, it is all fun and games until someone loses an eye.

Rupert Lowe-Life and 5-Mil-Farridge, egging on the Shankill sons of William to the point where they rip up patios and hurl concrete blocks at the PSNI, now reckons the GFA should effectively be consigned to the bin.

Starmer really needs to show some mettle here. Initiative rather than the usual incrementalism which simply marginalises him and his government.

For instance, he could have temporarily hit the DNS kill switch on Musk on Tuesday night and called a COBRA. Sure, it's all for show (or gig, as they say in Wales) but some overt leadership would not go amiss as we go into the riot season proper.

My Reform-voting mate has always viewed the GFA as surrender....
It's sad to think that almost thirty years on, many mainland folk still haven't moved beyond "Tow it out and sink it".

Sad to think that over 100 years on, many mainland folk still consider Ireland as the prodigal son who will any day now see sense and come back in.

Sorry, but this is a pathetic response.

Elon Musk’s X will face no action to remove a mass of posts inciting violence in Northern Ireland for at least two months, despite widespread condemnation of the platform and its billionaire owner.
As ever, it's down to OFCOM. Who of course will do precisely fuck-all. Oh, apart from write an open letter telling them not to be naughty.

Funny how the Good Friday Agreement (which was overwhelmingly passed by referendum, 71% IIRC) is considered disposable, but Brexit is sacrosanct.

Every vote there's ever been can be overturned except the 2016 Will of the People.

"Twelve people have been arrested over an alleged right-wing terror threat to an Islamic event at a country estate in Suffolk, police said.

Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) London said the UK Ijtima event at Shrubland Hall at Barham was ended early on Sunday as a precaution after the possible threat.

Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood said the response of the police in tackling a "credible threat" to the festival had "undoubtedly saved lives".

Commander Helen Flanagan, head of Counter Terrorism Policing London, said officers moved quickly to make the arrests across various locations in the country.

CTP confirmed the investigation was "right-wing terrorism related" and officers were conducting searches at various addresses across the country linked to those arrested.

It said eight men were arrested and detained under section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000 and remain in custody.

Three other men were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and a woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Of those, one person has since been released on bail, while the other three remain in custody.

Police confirmed once they had been made aware of a "potential serious threat" toward the event it had declared a major incident, but that status had since been stood down.

The following arrests were made around the country:

Five men, aged 27, 29, 55, 60 and 82 were arrested in Surrey

A 35-year-old man was arrested in Greater Manchester

Two men, 42, were arrested in Essex

A man, 33, was arrested in southeast London

One woman, 48, and a man, 31, were arrested in east London

A man, 27, was arrested in Ipswich"
