The fact that the MRLP's leader is mates with Farage has not gone unnoticed.

Hope Binface gets lost in the crowd. Not a bad tactic actually.

I mean, he's still a cunt, but this does benefit him a lot.

34 candidates in a by-election is apparently a UK record. I have neither the time or the inclination to check out who all these people are but I'll bet that, amongst the jokers, there are some right-wingers pissed off with Farage and the lack of a Restore candidate who'll chisel some votes off the cunt. Which is nice.

At least one of the 'Independent' candidates ran for Reform in 2024.

That's 17 grand in deposits and almost all of them guaranteed lost. Guess it'll go some way towards the cost of holding the stupid thing.

I saw a news report just after the by-election was brought about stating that the cost of a deposit for by-elections is £5k, unlike GE's when the deposit is £500. The point of the report was that it would likely just be Farage v Binface (following the withdrawal of the main parties), as obviously £5k is a lot of money to risk not getting back. It was on either BBC or ITV (I think the latter) so I didn't bother looking up if it was true. I now realise they got that mixed up with the mayoral elections, it's a £5k deposit for those.
