Andy's paused the prison early release scheme. This is what you might expect a new PM to do, no nonsense, that sort of thing. Which is another reason we didn't need to change the Prime Minister now.

Prison occupancy rate in 99%, with 90% reckoned to be about what it should be. So I don't know what he'll do. Have a few particularly unsympathetic prisoners kept in, and let the others out? The danger with that is the public thinks the PM personally directs releases from prison. If someone on early release, either under this scheme or not, commits a very serious offence, then the public may be more likely to blame the PM.

What does this sentence mean?

I'm guessing that 'if it" is missing from the start of that sentence. I know Matt has a lot going on and is jumbling stuff up from time to time.

I assume he is referring to the type of person who, in my world, grabs all the limited Record Store Day releases, gets home, and whacks them straight up on Discogs for twice or triple the price.
