Well, after the 20 year old Labour councillor for Fletton and Woodston jacked in the job the seat has now been taken by the Greens, with Reform coming second. Labour came third - but I was surprised to see someone from "Your Party" stood.

Inevitable Prime Minister Farage latest.

I never bought that Reform would win this. They considered Denton and Gorton worth a big effort, but they got 28.7% in the by-election, and Green/Lab got 66.1%. They'll do better in Bolton and Rochdale, but it was never going to be enough to win across Greater Manchester.

Glancing at a couple of front pages today I saw that the Widdecombe remand hearing and preliminary inquest were being reported together, in great detail, with the suspect named. That's a bit of subliminal influencing.

The Greens have stalled. Everyone's heard Zack's lines enough times. Licensing drilling might bring them back to life, but even so, there aren't all that many areas where they're going to be the challenger to Reform. Seemed like a fairly hubristic thing to say.
