And a commercial many years ago asking "what has the BBC ever done for us?" (I suspect also done with Charter renewal in mind).

Oh - and A Fish Called Wanda.

Bit of an off-kilter thought, here, but it’s occurred to me that all the far-right populist party leaders have what most Scots would regard as typically wanky upper-class English first names : Nigel, Rupert, Laurence. You could even add Jeremy into the mix, but he’s at the other end of the political horseshoe and may be the exception that proves the rule.

This 'protest' in Thetford seems to have slipped under the radar...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c74g1gxvwlvo

Scott Hussey, a Reform councillor for the nearby Brecks division on Norfolk County Council, said a "peaceful protest" had started at the town's police station on Wednesday night before it moved to Clover Way.

"I counted up to the 30 officers lined up on one side of the street and on the other side maybe up to 100 protesters," he said.

"There were some skirmishes, it was a spirited protest but I didn't see any violence."
Norfolk Police said "significant police resources" were deployed to Thetford on Wednesday to maintain public safety, after a large group gathered on Clover Way.

The force said members of the group "became physically aggressive towards officers – a male officer was struck with a rock and a female officer was seriously bitten, breaking the skin."

Ha ha. Straight talking Rupert Lowe has refused to confirm whether the King is "white British"- for some reason, you need two British parents to be consider such by Rupes.

This is like the sort of shit that infected Wisden Cricket Monthly in the mid 90s.

Apparently because Phillip (white Danish) was born in Greece, Charles isn't white.
This really is ' the wogs begin at Calais' nonsense.

Do pay attention. I did not say that they were upper class, I said they had wanky upper-class sounding English first names.
