I still think that Farage would have liked to have lost the by-election to a serious candidate so that he could have accused the establishment of conspiring against him. He could then have some how manufactured a come back just before the next election just like he did in 2024.

You'd think that after a resounding endorsement from the good people of Clacton Farage would've have been all over the media today taking aim at the "establishment", but all we got was Lee Anderson and Richard Tice making arses of themselves. Farage has made himself scarce again.

Because you know that. when Anderson and Tice are called out they get prickly. It's accepted; they're behaving like ordinary blokes. Der Leader, however, is above all this. He takes the abuse, shears and attacks without retaliation because he's a Statesman.

Except, as we also know, he's just as thin-skinned as the other two so he's kept away from the cameras apart from stage-managed events because one awkward question and he'll lose his shit, and that's not how a Statesman behaves at all.
