I haven't looked at any since. I expect they've done John Healey on a tightrope, holding a balancing stick with "backbench demands" on one end, and "market confidence" on the other.

Is it possible the effect of the "jobs tax" has been overstated, I wonder? Or is it too early to tell?

Some of the tax rises are sub-optimal, in a Dan Neidle way, but the important thing to me is that at least taxes did rise to pay for the spending we need.

They're already on the grid and the land's already paid for, the costs are the frames and the panels themselves which would be paid for by the landowners. As I say, it's works well elsewhere, I can't see the problem unless it's political pressure.
