The large arrays are getting common here in France, with one especially huge one in a field near here, also used to store hay and fodder underneath. A lot of farms have big (10m2) panels, and there are sizeable grants available for domestic installations and for heat exchange thingies. It can be done...

You seem to forget, Malc, that one of the Brexit bonuses is for us to no longer have access to EU funds for nice things. Instead, we have Johnson, Gove, Fargle and Cummings' extra £350 million a week, which wasn't a lie in any way shape or form at all, oh no it wasn't.
