I saw what you did there...

In other news, I see some of the Yanks are getting exercised over the possibility of getting 300 tons of what they believe to be rejected beef from Argentina - naturally, believing home-reared beef to be superior.

I wonder if they're aware of what Europe thinks of their home-reared beef...?

I didn't realize it was this bad. Not that the Republicans are going to lose Nebraska, but Dan Osborn, the Independent candidate for the US Senate, could get a decent vote share. And things can't be great in Iowa, where the Democrats do seem to have a shot.

Ah! That independent judiciary...
Well that's a bit harsh, after all the Judge was only following orders.

Good legwork by The Guardian.
Newly obtained documents indicate that the US health secretary, Robert F Kennedy Jr, lied during two congressional hearings last year, telling lawmakers who held the key to his confirmation that a 2019 visit to Samoa had “nothing to do with vaccines”.

Letters obtained by the Guardian and the Associated Press contradict that testimony. In one he wrote to the Samoan prime minister before the trip, Kennedy explicitly said he wanted to study the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine in the Pacific island nation. In it, he used the words vaccine or vaccination eight times.

“I am writing this letter to you in the hope that we might be helpful to the people of your great nation,” he wrote, adding that he believed the deaths of two children there after an MMR vaccine could have resulted from manufacturing issues.
You really can't get more flagrant lying than this. Does it matter any more? Probably not- the Guardian's scoop isn't particularly high on its webpage. This Fast Show Geoffrey Norman MP stuff. No, no, no, my name is not on that letter. I'm not going to read it out for you, and I'm not going to read it out for anyone.
