I do like how these muppets who keep trying to get into the hotels refer to themselves as 'auditors', filming random crap on your phone does not make you an auditor. These people are auditors in the same way that Tommy Robinson is a journalist. Given how these f**k wits often sarcastically refer to asylum seekers as 'doctors and engineers' may be it is time to start describing racist protestors as 'auditors and journalist'.

Birmingham has become the latest local authority to obtain a court injunction to stop the flag-hanging fuckwits from hoisting their nylon provocations up lamp posts where literally nobody asked them to.

This is very welcome in my view, though I am slightly confused as to why an injunction is required when it is already illegal to hang shit off lamp posts on the public highway without permission. I guess it is because the injunction names specific individuals so is likely to be more effective in stopping the morons from doing more of their shit.

The social media comments on the news are, as ever, a rich feast of moronic idiocy, laced with a goodly sprinkling of racist invective. Most of them seek to confuse a distaste for the racist provocation of illegal flag-hanging with anti-patriotic hatred of our country and “our” flag. There is even the odd (I think genuinely non-satirical) assertion that “you can’t say you’re English without getting arrested”.

At first, I struggled to decide whether these sorts of comment could be characterised as malicious kick-backs from card-carrying fascists, or genuinely stupid failures to grasp the issue by uncomprehending simpletons. Of course, the whole stated “philosophy” of the “Raise the Colours” wankers is that what they do is an entirely innocent and spontaneous manifestation of national patriotic pride, and they will of course be chuffed to note that so many simpletons appear to have swallowed that nonsense.

I’m stiil undecided - but I’m swinging ever so slightly more towards the uncomprehending simpletons explanation, if only because I prefer to hope and trust that full-throated, black-shirted fascism remains a minority in this country.

Having got off surprisingly lightly during last summer's frenzied flagwanking, it's become a local issue in Weston this summer due to Raise The Flag Bristol adorning all the lampposts along the seafront.
Council take them down, another lot appear, rinse and repeat - I think we're on our fourth lot now.
Reading the local FB groups, those comments in support of the flags seem to be dominated by simpletons saying they look nice and what's wrong with flying our national flag?
A noisy minority squawk about showing 'them' who's boss and taking back the country for the English.

PS. As I said, I think this is the fourth lot of flags on the seafront. Previously they've just been the usual Union or St George flags or a combination of both, however this time they've been joined by Y Ddraig Goch and the Saltire which struck me as unusual behaviour from (presumably) English nationalists.
Curious, I wonder what prompted the change?

There are a lot of Welsh, both tourists and, erm, migrants, here and we are on the border but in the year since this flagwanking shit kicked off, I've not seen anything other than the Cross of St George and Union Flag being flown locally. This is clearly a change of policy for some perceived benefit.

I have been replying to some of the contributions on X regarding the Birmingham City Council injunction. So much misinformation/blatant lying going on. If you look at my replies you will see they are a rinse of repeat of me pointing out that flying the Union Flag or cross of St George is not being banned but the council is trying to stop those flags being flown per se but the attaching of flags to council property without permission. All contrary to the Highways Act 1980.

Davies went in because of her opposition to trans inclusion in women’s sports. Which is a point of view. Unfortunately trans sports is a gateway drug to being completely mad.

Kemi either did no due diligence or didn’t care.

It would be difficult not to know Davies' views on many topics but for Badenoch having someone vaguely famous in the Lords would have outweighed said person being a horrible bigot.

I've just been arguing with someone on Twitter about this, his argument was the fact that something has happened proves it's legal. I told him to Google the word "crime" and he called me a "mong" and blocked me. I'm chalking that one up as a win.

It doesn't have to be an either/or equation.
