(Simon) Galbraith said his company Cade Hill Investments had given the money as he believes that “most British people sense Britain’s decline”.
“There is a centralised, bloated and incompetent state which is increasingly undemocratic, British institutions are unfocused on what they should be for and our democracy doesn’t represent the interests and opinions of many,” he said in a statement. “Things are worse than most people realise, but the opportunity is much greater than everyone thinks too. If Restore win power, I think it will spark a British renaissance.”
Increasingly undemocratic, ie people I hate won under the same rules as people I like won for many years.
Interesting commitment to the opinions of the many there. What's the betting that would become standard parliamentary majority philosophy if they won power? And doubtless the need for lots of "difficult decisions, which other people aren't clever enough to understand.
I hadn't seen Lowe's offer to work with Farage. I won't spoil you with his areas of cooperation, but it's basically Geoffrey Palmer in Fairly Secret Army.
