Ukrainians, lots of them are Nazis. Demonstrations don't represent all Ukrainians, so Western leaders shouldn't support them (what?). Anyway, Ukraine's borders "ebb and flow with history" (or with Russiainvading them). Russia is encircled (how does Israel feel?)
What absolutely revolting sophistry.

There is an element of truth about the borders, especially at the western edge. Britannica has a history of it. My father was from the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.

Of course borders 'ebb and flow'. Because people made it happen. Not some impersonal historical tidal system.

Sorry - this is a particular bugbear of mine!

The inconsistency and contradictions of Corbyn's positions on Ukraine and Gaza could not be more stark.

Shortly after the unprovoked Russian invasion of Ukraine, Corbyn called for Ukraine to surrender and the borders to be redrawn recognising Russian gains (Trump and Farage shared this position). He said he did this in the name of peace.

18 months later Israel steamed into Gaza. So Jezza demanded, in the name of peace, that Hamas surrender, and the map be redrawn to make Palestine part of Greater Israel.
Oh no, hang on, he didn't!
Instead he came out supporting Palestine and demanding Israel withdraw.

The difference in the two responses? Reasons.

Does Jez oppose war? Emphatically no.
It depends who's fighting who and especially who is winning.
Ditto imperialism.

Does he mean any of this, or is this an attempted shakedown of Bombardier? I'm shocked to hear that a firm that makes planes might "live off" (American) airports. You might as well say Microsoft lives off Canadian PCs. International business, we used to call it, and America used to be highly enthusiastic.

The constant question with Trump and the answer is unknowable when you're dealing with someone who is so stupid, riddled with dementia and an habitual liar.

Flip a coin, heads bullshit, tails ignorance.

Everybody standing behind him knows this is a lie.

The NY Times take:
Trump Honors 9/11 Emergency Personnel in Washington
President Trump awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom posthumously to a volunteer firefighter who saved numerous people. He also added to a disputed account of his actions that day.
