You can bring in one law. Nothing too controversial or likely to get repealed tomorrow. What would it be?

I'd make it compulsory that the first price you see is the price you pay. No added fees, taxes or charges.

I'd pass a UK version of the Canadian Broadcasting Act, 1991, making foreign (or non-dom) ownership of publications or broadcast stations illegal, and making them legally responsible for the material they publish, including veracity.
And a proper regulatory body.

I've no idea how you'd implement this.

A lot of modern wrongs; from untraceable landlords, aggressing tax evasion to shadowy political donations, seem to lead back to shell companies.
I'd like to see serious work to ensure a traceable breathing person, with UK currency reserves, in case of liability at the end of each of these chains.

There are probably good arguments why this cannot be done.
