The councils Labour did well in where the ones it needed to show in, the Kent ones, Swindon, Plymouth and other parts of the South.

There isn’t many save areas for the Tories now, Ed was sat next to Keir at the coronation. One thing that seems clear that bar Slough and Leicester (both with issues and remarkably kept the latter), Labour did well vs the Conservatives.

If we are honest it’s only the Lib Dem’s and SNP that could help if required. I think the LDs did remarkable but I think Labour did far better than you give them credit, there are very few areas they actively went out in that they struggled. Darlington they just missed out on and didn’t make much of a move in Dudley, good to see Liverpool wasn’t the struggle I expected.

Is it me or does every state occasion see Blair and Brown less inclined to speak to their Tory counterparts? Apart from Major and May, fucked if I would.

Let's be generous and say the new breed are from a different generation to the old stagers so naturally they don't know them so well. Or let's be truthful and say Blair & Brown know a bunch of fucking shysters when they see them.
