Alba going hard at John Swinney. They are correct on the legal point, but I wonder if they'd go so hard if the legal point weren't connected to trans rights? I'm not so sure, there's something about Alba that's not very pleasant.

That's even worse than the vote share in the Scottish Parliament and Local Elections. But not unexpected- they're not even much of a force online, which is very revealing. Virtually any cause can get an online following.

I wonder if they have a bit of a way in from here though. "You voted SNP and they can't even win elections. Be part of the vanguard!"

Exactly. If Scottish independence is your big thing, the SNP is still the only game in town.

Apparently Salmond said the SNP didn’t focus on it enough.

It was line one of their manifesto and to McSwinney’s credit he knows there are much wider issues that he had to try and demonstrate an answer to.
