Nigel Farage has urged Technology Secretary Peter Kyle to "do the right thing and apologise" after he suggested that by opposing the government's online safety law, the Reform UK leader was on the side of sex offenders like Jimmy Savile.

Free speech, innit?
I've seen a lot of whining already on YT about it, including someone "speaking as a mother".

What makes people who've bred think they're so fucking special?
Pet theory, have aired it before, and the underlying issue applies to men just as much as women but in this case the example is obviously female-centred: because for the first time in their lives they've thought about things beyond their cul-de-sac. 'Oh wow the world is scary and I have a stake in it beyond my dumbass ego*.'

*N.B. the child is in essence an extension of said ego.

So Nigel, which “concerned parents” are you representing, those who should be able to let their children have easy access to anything on the internet, who the ones that attempt to burn down asylum seeker hotels….after being exposed to stuff on the internet. How do you square that circle, Nigel

Farage said: "What caused unrest on our streets after Southport last year was us not being told the status of the attacker.

"That led to crazy conspiracy theories spreading online."

Sky News yet again gave wall to wall coverage of Farage's press conference which was primarily about a Tory Police commissioner defecting to the Farage cult. Farage has clearly seen that because most parties take a break over August any announcements he makes will get maximum coverage on many news channels. To allow a party with only 4 MPs to get so much media attention really is damaging to democracy.

Farage keeps banging on about crime but most of the data suggests that many crimes have fallen in reason years so he is presenting a false narrative but few journalists challenge him about this false narrative. He keeps claiming that London is a crime hotspot yet London is the second most popular city destination for tourism.
