Palestine Action played a stupid game and won a stupid prize. The Israeli government will pay every bit as much attention to protests without them as it did to protests with them.

My missus is on the train home having been at today's protest in support of Palestine Action outside Parliament. Our eldest daughter, there with her press pass, stood and watched scores of people, including an elderly man in a wheelchair, get carted off. She sent me some pictures of others, including an 88 year old man who was sitting on grass next to my wife when he got his collar felt. So, people, you need to know, I'm married to a terrorist who is also a 60 year old semi-retired art teacher who just a few years ago was teaching the Jewish girls at Gateshead college.

But I think the best result would be for the courts to bail the Government out. Reminds me of Ted Heath when he realized that putting people in jail for picketing was a bad look. Someone called the Official Solicitor came forward to get them released.

Interestingly, Cooper is insisting that this was based solidly on security advice. No sign of preparing for a legal lifeboat there.
