So what is “the left” that TWA is apparently so disillusioned with ?

Do we have a consensual definition?

I see the left in this sense as being the people constantly sticking it to Starmer. They know very well that It takes more than one budget to sort out waiting lists, and actually don't care that they're coming down. There's the Corbyn types, but also a "Remainer" strain to it, perhaps combined in the Green Party.

It's deeply annoying.

I call them the far left….

I don’t think they should be anywhere near government like their ideological enemies who they never actually seem to fight, those on the far right.

The Weimar Republic is a great example.

Workers rights and the minimum wage don't get mentioned at all. The industrial policy is never mentioned, which is something that the left has claimed to care a lot about before. The tax rises on the wealthy, done in the teeth of opposition from the rightwing press (who Labour are apparently terrified of) are just treated as nothing because "£24bn wealth tax".
That is in part why I feel disillusioned with the left, stuff they made a big deal of now suddenly dropped, forgotten, or just dismissed out of hand. Next month, in all likelihood, the government will recognise Palestine. This is something that people have been calling for and will likely be followed through with, and yet I can guarantee that it will be dismissed out of hand and people will say Starmer is only doing this to get out of being put on trial for war crimes.

Pretty much what Tubbs said
