I’ve cracked a hilarious rib-tickling gag, but because they (obviously) disagree with my rational post, but are too idle/fuckwitted to respond or disagree verbally, and also lack a “disagree” emoji. So they post the “laughing emoji”, I guess to denote, I imagine, disdainful mocking laughter.
It means you’re a gullible sheeple who believes what the Deep State or the establishment tells you to say. People who use this laughing emoji have done their own research.

I've come across a few of them and they always think everything's funny. Politics is one big joke to them.

And the phrase "salty [group] tears" never seems far from their lips.

Gamer culture meets toxic masculinity. Lovely.

Update :My Facebook reels feed now seems to be full of Russian lasses in bikinis criss-crossing themselves then dipping themselves into a pool of ice-cold water in the middle of fucking winter.

Pleasant as it sometimes is to watch these, I have no fucking idea.

On a Facebook group entitled "Politics UK", a question was posed : " [Question Time] Audience member- I think that manifestos should be seen as legally-binding documents.

Do you agree? "

I was the first to answer, thus :

"No. It's a ridiculous notion. Manifesto contents are intentions, aspirations, plans. Things that in the white heat of actual government may not turn out to be achievable. Voters have an opportunity to judge these things at every election."

My response attracted a torrent (102 and rising) of mostly extremely negative further responses, some of which were just gratuitous insults. A few examples :

"so if a party just lies in there (sic) manifesto and once in dose (sic) nothing they promised we have wait another 5 years to get them out ? So we don’t have a opportunity at all u taking (sic) shit they should be held accountable not just lie to get in power".

"so where was the disclaimer clause?"

"how pathetic you are is incredible"

"so we should vote on aspirations, thats why were (sic) in the shit. Say one thing do another. Your (sic) talking utter b........cks"

"let me guess you are a liebour voter"

"so you are comfortable with political parties being voted into power under insincere, deceitful, ambiguous, false pretences?"

"idiot!!"

"Agreed. Furthermore, any political party putting them themselves forward to run the country should be banned by law from blaming their failures on the proceeding administration. New governments should be mandated to draw a line under the past and should be judged on their achievements from the point at which they take control of the country."

"If you break a manifesto promise the government should be forced by the king to hold a general election"

"U can every law in the book as a politician & walk away no matter the crime, how ever anus (sic) it is"

And one vaguely sensible reply :
"Think it’s a great idea..if they find they are unable to deal with something tell the people ..being open and upfront government is what we need..we all realise somethings may not be achieved…"

I really cannot be arsed to engage with any of these morons, most of whom are not so much getting the wrong end of the stick as grabbing the wrong fucking stick altogether. But what a total mess social media are, particularly in the arena of politics. Now depressed.

Telling the truth is political suicide better to give people hope. Is a dream a lie if it doesn't come true?

One word: Covid.

Recently had one prat (from the US, natch) demanding that members of a Facebook group allied to a society I'm a member of get voting rights, access to materials etc. of said society even though they're not actually paid members of it. My describing them as parasites didn't go down well with him.

German car makers that may well soon be owned by the Chinese? Speaking to a colleague yesterday, he reckoned VW - of all people - may get taken over.
