In the words of Elmo Philips:
Once I saw this guy on a bridge about to jump. I said, "Don't do it!" He said, "Nobody loves me." I said, "God loves you. Do you believe in God?"
He said, "Yes." I said, "Are you a Christian or a Jew?" He said, "A Christian." I said, "Me, too! Protestant or Catholic?" He said, "Protestant." I said, "Me, too! What franchise?" He said, "Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Baptist or Southern Baptist?" He said, "Northern Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist or Northern Liberal Baptist?"
He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region, or Northern Conservative Baptist Eastern Region?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region." I said, "Me, too!"
Northern Conservative†Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1879, or Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912." I said, "Die, heretic!" And I pushed him over.

I've always found the Catholics the most extreme of Christian groups, very much our way or straight to hell

Those close to the process say much of the final report will talk about the positive impact of religion and formal worship on adherents and society more widely.
Some of the proposals will be designed to bolster religion as a core element of British society, including more resources for religious education to be taught in schools, and more money to hire chaplains in prisons, schools and universities.

It'll be a great talking point till it rebounds on the Judaeo-Christian fundies.
Then you'll see the traditional Britain and conservative woman mob reaching for the pitchforks.

I hope Ofcom has grown some teeth
GB News is being investigated over a possible breach of impartiality rules, after two senior Conservative MPs interviewed the chancellor before the spring budget on its channel.
Jeremy Hunt sat down for an interview with the former Tory cabinet minister Esther McVey, who is still the MP for Tatton, and her husband, Philip Davies, the MP for Shipley, on Saturday 11 March for their weekly show.
Ofcom has announced that it will investigate whether the show broke the media watchdog’s rules “requiring news and current affairs to be presented with due impartiality”....

Conspiracy theories are like Pringles - one's never enough. In the old days you started by thinking that perhaps rogue elements in the FBI might have helped Lee Harvey Oswald, then before you knew it you were convinced Prince Phillip ordered Princess Di's assassination. Now, no sooner have you thought Covid might have accidently escaped from a lab than you're seeing New World Orders everywhere.

I spent some time on a Colorado llama farm with fundamentally decent people who were, at that time, falling in to that psychological latrine.
There is pictorial evidence of this on FB, but none of me vaporising beer bottles at dawn with a .44 Magnum.
They are full-diesel Trumpers now, and I dare not go that close to Big Guns and those people with my shitty mouth.
