Has that guy fallen through a wormhole from 1978?

Liz is very much like a rabbit.

Well, she has relations.

She's not helping Rishi, is she?

I wonder if she'll need to be booted out before the end of the campaign. I expect she'll be on to Klaus Schwab by next week.

Such charming company

https://bylinetimes.com/2024/05/29/mp-d ... t-podcast/
The Lotus Eaters is a podcast and media platform set up by misogynistic influencer Carl Benjamin (AKA Sargon of Akkad). Benjamin first came to notoriety via his YouTube channel, which was involved in the so-called “Gamergate” phenomenon, where misogynistic video game enthusiasts mounted harassment campaigns against female game developers and journalists.
Jess Phillips is, understandably, Not Amused.
Benjamin has frequently courted controversy, being banned from social platforms for the use of racial slurs and infamously stating that he “wouldn’t even rape” the Labour MP Jess Phillips. In 2018, Benjamin joined UKIP under the leadership of Gerard Batten and stood as a candidate in the 2019 European elections.
I kinda feel personally affronted that I even know who Benjamin is. And as for the ‘Sargon of Akkad’ business…the man hails from Swindon. You don’t get to hail from Swindon while naming your online presence after a Babylonian King. I didn’t make the rule, but I will happily enforce it.

Gerard Batten
There’s a name I’ve thankfully forgot. Did the Liverpool Echo’s ‘has anyone seen Paul Nuttal?’ campaign reach any conclusions.

UKIP’s Batten experiment is a bit of a sore point for me, since a former friend ended up getting sucked into the party at that time. We haven’t spoken in years, and last I looked all his old social media accounts had been deleted. Given that a fellow member of what would have been his local UKIP branch is now a fully fledged white nationalist I’m not sure whether I want to know where his particular political journey has taken him since.

Just had a read of Batten's Wiki entry. Crikey, the things I'd forgot. Too much of a mentler even for the Kippers who didn't go with Fargle.

Very odd. Say what you like about Sunak, he's showing up in his own constituency. Has Truss given up? Or is the plan that she wants people to forget she's the candidate?

Labour candidate is Terry Jermy not Terry James. Truss has been canvassing every day.

Can’t even do a thumbs up without making it look like she read how to do it in a mistranslated instruction manual.

Whilst it has been amusing to see Liz Truss yet again being pranked in public by 'Led by Donkeys' you have really got to question what her security team are playing at. As a former PM she presumably gets security yet they don't seem to have been particularly diligent. May be they are so fed up with her that they can't be arsed.

Sounds very much like punishment duty for Special Branch. "You've fucked up and left your gun on the tube again; that's it, you're guarding Truss!".

Seems she's refusing to hand over constituency casework, citing GDPR (which she seems to be getting wrong) and saying she needs to complete work on them. Given she has a reputation for not giving a shit about her constuituents during her time as their MP, that sounds very sus.

Perhaps Liz doesn’t have any casework as she never logged it. Very undignified behaviour and expect little better from Truss.

The Led By Donkeys video is at the foot of that article. Having never seen it I gave it a watch.

I may be wrong, and I sure as hell won't be watching it again to find out, but it looks like she had what is known in the tabloid press as a Sharon Stone moment.

I checked (of course I did), and you are wrong. There was no Truss beaver on display.
