What makes you think the tragic roundabouters would be offended by a swastika?

I can't remember now if it was a spoof headline or a real headline but basically the headline implied that putting up lots of flags could hit house prices in the area. This would cause real dilemmas for readers of the Daily Mail who are obsessed with house prices.

I must admit, I didn't see Rylan Clark appearing in this thread but he has been spekeing his branes.
Here’s the iPad. Here’s the NHS in reception of your hotel. Here’s three meals a day. Here’s a games room in the hotel. Have a lovely time and welcome
I must have missed the outcry about a BBC presenter speaking out about immigration.
Or in this case telling outright lies.
When does he get the "Order of Lineker's Boot"?

Well, he’s on ITV, not the BBC, but I take the point. Mind you I’ve long thought this bearded twat was a right wanker. I was right to do so.

Telegraph and Spectator are lauding him already.

He's a presenter on Radio 2 - Saturday afternoon slot.

Can the Beeb sack him for racist lies that he put out on ITV?
I do hope so.

See Lineker.
Called out and punished for largely extra-BBC activity.
Liable to become a Matthias Sindelar* character if Reform have their big beautiful event.
* Star Austrian striker sometimes known as the "Mozart of football".
Conspiracists attribute his death from carbon monoxide poisoning as a "shabby Nazi trick".

Expect noise and fury from the usual quarters:

See, Opposition, Leader thereof. Absolutely pathetic, seeing it's her mess being cleared up.

Any other decision would be a recipe for chaos.
Imagine if every caahncil in the country could go to court to evade its obligations.
We all know which ones would take the lead.
Already paragons of selfishness as far as the law permits.

It's not really been picked up on in the press but Badenoch writing to all conservative councils telling them to do what Epping Forest Council did is one of the most rank pieces of political scumbaggery we've seen in this country for years.
The Conservatives took us from 10 hotels in 2010 to over 400 by the time they left power. Labour has brought it down to 200.
Her attempt to render 30,000 people homeless - people who are there because her party deliberately created a backlog by cutting funding to the asylum claims process - just to cause problems for the current government and civil unrest is absolutely despicable.

The judgement is actually quite revealing. The Bell first became a migrant hotel in 2020. The owners submitted a change of use notice to the council who are required by law to respond within 8 weeks. No such response came which is then taken as a yes as the council didn't use its right of response in the allotted time and indeed never responded.
It fell out of use late 2024 when the contract ran out so was empty at that point. Then earlier this year they went through the same process in February and still Epping Forest Council have never responded to a second change of use notice.
So two things to ask will be why have they not done their statutory duty to respond if they wanted to take issue and two why wasn't it a problem 5 years ago? The answer to the 2nd point is easy - its no longer a Conservative Govt - second political opportunism.
