Would somebody have told him through that earpiece he wasn't wearing?

I've seen Holmes in a couple of clips.
The man is clearly "phoning it in".
He lounges on the sofa like a beached walrus / reece Mogg.
Can't be bothered to listen to the discussion unless he's talking.
He occasionally interjects with attempted humour.
Extremely low energy stuff.

Claire Fox there.. Can you guess which way she voted on this?
You're right. Same way as Kate Hoey.

Apparently the next broadcasting colossus to join GB News could well be Richard Madeley. When I look at the mug shots of the current set of GB presenters it like looking at a text book for gynecologists.

She's not as nice as she looks.

It's good of them to have all the presenters you never want to see on a channel you never want to watch.

Whether the audience is doubling down or feel let down, this might be an interesting watch if handled right. I’d like to an edition for people who now think they’re wrong for wanting to stay out of the Euro. So far it’s just me.

Thing about Madeley is that he's not exactly cancelled, or marginalised at all. He was on HIGNFY last autumn. Yes, he has his Partridge moments on GMB, but that's likely why he's indulged by ITV. Clicks, kids. And there'll be no let-up in internet mockery wherever he goes. So it must be the money. As I've said, whoever's bankrolling GBNews has some very deep pockets. They've ridden out the advertisers pulling out, and I have to say they're looking more and more professional. Viewer numbers are low, but that doesn't matter. They're gaining legitimacy as a news channel, meaning they'll be quoted by other news channels. They're like the one-share shareholder at the AGM. Skin in the game, not much but enough to have a seat at the table.

I think I can guess at least one name.
Supporting Farage we'll likely see Lord Hannan, Lord Frost, Lady Davidson / Arlene Foster (so it doesn't seem like an English garden party) and Kate Hoey (for balance).
If they opt for a journalist and comedian, it could be one of several thousand client scribblers.
And an excellent opportunity for Geoff Norcott or Lee Hurst to grab a little limelight.
One comic will be notably absent.
The "Spaffer" character was always fictional and is being retired,.
Few people find him funny - these days.

I don't know. It could be like Scar vs the hyenas at the end of The Lion King*.
*An animated film, m'lud, loosely based on Hamlet, but reimagined on the savannah plains of Africa, and the characters changed from humans to animals.
