Looking at that pile of shite in the top left corner I can't help wondering how the Brits managed to create an insipid imitation 21 years before the "true Aussie hero"came out.

Kathy Lette is an Australian with a sense of humour, she's winding you up.
That said, I prefer Vegemite (and supermarket own label knockoffs) to Marmite.

The second time I worked in Oz I bought a jar of Vegemite to have on toast (I was sharing an apartment with my mate in Melbourne, so had access to a cooker).
It. Was. Shite.
Strangely enough, as was their interpretation of Cadbury's chocolate (but of course, even that was better than the solidified baby sick that is Hershey's).
