Somebody has to drive those remote camera heads.

Y'know, like BBC News has done for over forty years.

Nothing like demonstrating your ignorance in public, is there?

If you worked in television, wouldn't you have some interest in how it worked?

Actually, I think he knew it very well.

I don't know what a remote camera head is, was, or might be. Do I even want a dozen at the going rate?

Does that single me out as the dim lad on this site?

I'm pretty sure a search for remote camera head will turn up something NSFW.

GB News has a go at news reporting without fear or favour. It’s only revealed the gargantuan stupidity of its viewers on this thread. Even I’m surprised how daft they are or is it Russian bots working overtime?

Either a massive libel case incoming, or rather terminal, one might think.

Having read the preliminary report the phrase 'bang to rights' comes to mind.

Wooton was watching Martin Fowler and Max Branning on Eastenders.
Back on tonight, no suspension or inquiry GB News demands of the BBC. And full government approval.

Quite. Someone is not going to come out of this in one piece.

Did he show up?

Yep, ranting abut Carol Vorderman for some reason.

Oh yeh, business as usual. Fronting it out as they’re accountable to no one and have government backing.

The real issues there. Obscure Republican doesn't like the Royal Family.

Is Dan on tonight? I don't think the story broke when he was already on yesterday, didn't it?

I'd guess, even on GB News, there's a limit to how long you can go without putting out a statement.

Hadn't notice before- two more parts of the Dan Wootton investigation to come.

Doubtless timed till he's on air again. Though I can't really see the point of that. Do it before, let the shit already be hitting the fan when he walks on.

Not a particularly important account, but there's a fair bit of this stuff about.

I think, on balance, it's unlikely Wootton has bombshell secrets on Kath Viner. More likely a combination of him not being important enough and wanting to see more from Byline News (which I've noticed be a bit crap a few times, though I'll forgive it that very quickly if it's got this right). It's not exactly uncommon for stuff to be in eg Private Eye for some time before it gets taken up more widely. That may happen this time.

MSM blackout latest. Wootton seems to have said he didn't do anything illegal. I'm not sure what law he would have broken, but that wasn't the bar he set for anyone else.

https://www.theguardian.com/media/2023/ ... an-wootton
The publishers behind the Sun and MailOnline are looking into allegations that Dan Wootton inappropriately offered colleagues tens of thousands of pounds in return for sexual material.

Wooton has some advantages in skulking off over Huw Edwards, few know who he is and couldn’t give a shit about the worthless TV station he works for.
