Apparently Douglas Murray has written a piece in the Spectator in which he argues with regard to Epstein that Trump is just trying to protect the innocent!

“This show hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention,” White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers said in the statement. “President Trump has delivered on more promises in just six months than any other president in our country’s history – and no fourth-rate show can derail President Trump’s hot streak.”

Not a bad description of this infantile show even 20 years ago, so why take time out to respond? It's like being lampooned by the Goodies.

It looks likes Trump's latest stunt was to send his lawyers to interview Maxwell in prison with a list of one hundred names they wanted to dig the dirt on. Presumably all this new information will now trigger a further investigation which will drag on for a couple of years. While the new investigation is on going Trump will be able to dodge any questions on the topic. I seem to think Johnson tried a similar ploy during Partygate releasing tons of new evidence days before the Sue Gray was due to complete her investigation.

Remember, folks, Trump and the Republicans previously thought this was a huge scandal.

In June 2016, Bill Clinton had a chat on a tarmac with then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch, and according to everyone involved, it was a fairly brief and inconsequential social interaction. Such conversations are not uncommon when prominent political figures are in the same place at the same time.
It was in front of other people who said they spoke very quickly about golf and grandchildren.

But he soon became infuriated at plans to construct an offshore wind farm nearby, arguing that the "windmills" - as he prefers to call the structures - would ruin the view.
[...]
For clarity, there are no windmills in the North Sea.

Windmills mill grain into flour. What he's seeing are wind turbines.

But making them sound like centuries old technology is a way to deride their worth.
From his Aberdeenshire course, he posted on Truth Social (with his trademark capital letters) that the UK should "incentivize the drillers, FAST", and that there was a "VAST FORTUNE TO BE MADE" for the UK from the "treasure chest" of oil.
I live in hope that one day, lightning will strike his raised golf club.
