Crabcakes wrote: Thu May 08, 2025 1:12 pm The expelled councillor - one Donna Edmunds - is known to me via a brief relationship with a mate many, many years ago (it was over v. quickly as multiple alarm bells went off).

She’s now been expelled from the Tories, UKIP and Reform for such things as attacking a cancer patient and rampant homophobia, via a stint in Israel writing bollocks for the Jerusalem Times and Breitbart, and various grifts. Not least of which being her offloading her seriously disabled child onto her mum while she went globe-trotting, an attempt to get married off to an Indian prince on a reality show, and her tapping my mate to pay for her child. To be clear, he isn’t the father and they’d broken up long before - she just asked him to do the moral thing and support her. Moral here being shorthand for ‘pay for me because I don’t intend to do anything as crass and common as work’.

Truly one of the most selfish, lazy, bigoted people you could come across.
And they expelled her?

They expelled her because she made it clear she didn't really support the party and then she criticised Kim Jung Farage and called the party a 'cult'.

Nearly went with the same gag, but thought I'd tee it up for someone else. :D

Could be another Lincolnshire next door. The Reform Mayor is an ex-boxer. Doubtless that plays well in a "not like other politicians way" but how will he do? As a novice, will he just do party line, or could he be more independent? There's a career for someone elected for Reform who does the latter.

Ex Boxer (for a politician the tabloids like) is a very loose definition.

We may recall "Plucky Kickboxer" Ruth Davidson - boosting the Tory cause north of the border.
Whose association with "kickboxing" was an exercise class for fat lasses.

George Galloway's another "ex-boxer".

This lad won a medal at the olympics, seemed a nice young lad at the time.

He won an Olympic gold, was Commonwealth champion and fought for a world title twice. He might be a useful idiot as a politician but he was a more than useful boxer.

Meanwhile:

Hundreds of second home owners in Reform-led councils could be spared double tax bills after party leader Nigel Farage labelled the policy “madness”.
Tax breaks for absentee landlords is going to bring in votes from the left behind, clearly.

That's a clever way to solve the council underfunding problem - reduce their income! Why haven't councils thought of this obvious solution before?

What council spending? All they need is a gang of heavies to do the bins each morning, and the potholes in the afternoon, a man to keep an eye on the ne'er do wells on community service picking up the dog turds and cleaning graffiti, and some ladies from the WI to bring meals on wheels round to the grannies. And you can pay the heavies in fags.

Shame it's Rupert Lowe saying this. He's nastier than Farage.
If Farage were ever to control the vast power of the British state, I believe he would not hesitate to do to his adversaries what they have tried to do to me. With real power, I fear he would wield that immense responsibility to crush dissent - as he has done time and again over the years …

Please listen when I say this: For the good of our country, Nigel Farage must never be prime minister.

Racist fascist cunt who gets thrown out of a crypto fascist party for being too hardline, warns the leader is a right fascist so don't trust him.

Oh I'm listening, Rupes. Even though I don't fucking need to - because I already know.

The tinfoil hatters will now fight over which one is the Establishment stooge - Farage, who's been corrupted by power or Lowe, who they're using to split the Messiah's support.

It will be interesting to see which party Lowe joins in the near future. He could well join the Tories at the very moment that a number of Tories switch Reform in the hope of clinging onto their seats.
