Great choice of guest here.

Mr Portsmouth is less than universally popular at the club, and with other fans.

Prominent Pompey supporter John Westwood has been banned for the fourth time this season after going into the ladies toilets – claiming he was transgender.
Ho ho fucking ho.

He's also got banned for pissing outside Forest Green's ground and various "lewd gestures", as well as, it seems for serial obnoxious drunkenness and a tendency to tell other people they aren't proper fans.

But hey, at least he didn't do this at the Notting Hill Carnival.

What a massive twat. England’s not an island and technically neither is Portsmouth (it’s on Portsea Island).

He's been about a long time as a semi-celebrity, and doubtless a fair bit longer as a prominent fan. Seems to be immaturing with age, either because he's let fame go to his head or because he's genuinely unwell.

One of them is a publicity whore who spends a lot of time making a noise and pulling ridiculous stunts by the coast and the other is Mr Portsmouth FC.

Ben Briscoe is head of programming at GB News, per his bio. Never heard of Mr Ryley before, but my definition of freedom of speech and democracy doesn't include forced advertising on any particular news channel.

He also warned that advertisers boycotting GB News represent a threat to democracy and said minority political parties should be dropped from televised general election leadership debates.
Ah, that sort of democracy.

Do others representing diverse opinions like Novara media or Russell Brand moan about British Gas not sponsoring them? No, because they don’t masquerade as news gathering organisations and don’t have any expectation to.
The Daily Herald had a high circulation when it was sold to Murdoch nearly 60 years ago (and became the Sun) but was read by elderly Labour voters who didn’t buy much and were of no interest to corporate advertisers. So they ‘boycotted’ the Herald.
Brands such as Tesco, Kia, Ford and British Gas are said to be involved in the boycott.

He said: “This action represents a threat to free speech, putting the business model of this start-up in jeopardy.

“Freedom of expression is vital to our democracy. The regulator Ofcom has been adamant broadcasters are free to include controversial or offensive content provided they reflect alternative viewpoints. And let’s be clear – the new news channels have been launched to satisfy an increasing thirst in the UK for a diversity of opinions.

“It’s an awkward fact for some – GB News’s audience is growing. We should value a free and fair media that offers accurate impartial news and current affairs, that offers a plurality of news providers.

“The British public have the right to hear the full range of political perspectives. The advertising boycott of GB News should end. It is an insult to the British people.”

It's pathetic, isn't it?

I'm reminded of the Rutles. "We haven't been staying away so much as not coming here". When does not advertising on a channel become a boycott?

News is not opinions, even if some of their opinions are indeed news, especially the horseshit that they pluck from 4-Chan and that Coast bloke's matted pubes.

And given that their token gesture toward plurality of opinion is either "Lefty in the Corner", or someone bought on to make fun of, only for them to be cut off when they start schooling the presenter, or an obvious strawman, they're not exactly offering balance.

Plurality to them means "everyone else is woke".

Heavyweight expert here.

GB News thinks its audience reckon "quota" means "average". What utter contempt they hold them in.

I’m not quite sure where the BBC fits in the “to advertise or not” context

GB News likes to compare itself just with other news channels to sound more important than it is. When you look at the full range of programmes beating Dan Wootton in the evening, it's really quite something. Here is getting beaten by Police Academy on Comedy Central, Judge Judy on a channel I've never even heard of. Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps on Dave and Grand Designs Australia on More 4. Doubtless all of these have been shown many times before.

They don't care. They may only have one chip, but it still gets them a seat in the game.

This bloke seems to be one of the very worst.

This is a really shit argument. Housing asylum seekers and homeless people is it a responsibility for society as a whole. Just like lots of other things. I assume Christys supports higher spending on Defence. By his own logic, he must be donating a big chunk of his GB News salary to the MOD, right?
