Look at his liar. Actually, edit- he might have been referring specifically to the bill connected with rivers and housebuilding.

Dermot O’Leary is no slouch in the interviewing stakes, he probably did a better job than Phillip Schofield playing big boy interviewer with Cameron.

This could be even worse- hard to model tactical voting at this stage. Could be quite a few Labour blue wallers going Lib Dem after the inevitable blitz of Winning-Here-Focus-BarChart in their letterboxes.

Common Sense Coalition- 35 (plus say 2 for DUP and Lawrence Fox) so 37%
Team Luxury Beliefs- 59 (plus say 4 for SNP, PC, SDLP etc) 63%

Possible explanation of that poll is that Tory voters liked what they heard at conference but floating voters were even more repelled and won’t be messing around at the GE. Carry on.

I wish lazy commentators would stop referring to Sunak as pragmatic and a technocrat. He’s a deeply ideological free marketeer.

Sunak seemed to get a bounce in his own ratings mind you Starmer did as well, probably more related to last weeks poll being unusually low for Labour

Currys staff look pleased to see Sunak. Never struck me as the brightest sparks who work there.

- How are the polls? The Conference must have shifted them?
- Um, the SNP are truly crushed, Prime Minister.
(The SNP did better than this absurd subsample in Rutherglen).

Time to dust off one of my catchphrases from the Johnson years:
Lying liar tells lies.
You can tell Sunak spent a lot of time with Johnson.

Clapping like eager seals waiting for fish while being lied to by a charlatan wearing a suit that their combined weekly wage would barely cover.
These people disgust me, but what they do to their own families and communities by voting tory is infinitely worse.
