Did anyone else see Andrea Jenkyns on Newsnight last night?

She was aiming for the full bingo card of dog whistles and excuses, from "all lives matter" to how the police should be concentrating on "real criminals".

She was all over the place, quite incoherent, I found it impossible to follow what she was saying.

Not even an MP, why is Jenkyns on the programme? Tory MPs in hiding, perhaps.

Claire Fox seems to be keeping good company. She quoted (last page) Henry Newman, who's another of the scum from the cesspit that gave us Cummings and Gove. "Taught politics at various universities" (i.e. shot his mouth off until told to shove it) before a brief stint as a London councillor (in Camden of all places) then that meteoric rise through the SpAd ranks, fuelled by the jizz of ministers and no gag reflex.

His partner's a lord, not quite sure how, probably one of the overnight batch processed ones to pass some vote or other. Once wrote a report on how we were all far too nice to refugees. Seems to be the go-to guy for right wing regimes wanting to act the cunt in the third world.

This is a really REALLY bad interview for Farage. Whether it'll land and MP's will keep hammering it home remains to be seen. But he's basically been forced to admit he fell for lying/disinformation Tweets from Andrew Tate and amplified them. Admitted he didn't know if they were true or not. And kept trying to revert to the "I was just asking questions" defense.

She's brilliantly articulate, too. Absolutely nails him to the wall and backs it up. I wouldn't put it past him to try and have her silenced on Twitter, be it shadowing banning or outright banning, considering what a fucking psychopath (possibly?) he is.

Under normal circumstances these absolute car crash interviews by Farage and Anderson would/should be the end of them, at least as MP's - Talking about getting their info from Andrew Tate and amplifying foreign fake news accounts, implying when you've 'had a few' you find yourself in a murderous riot etc. The fact it quite possibly won't even be mentioned in a day or two is a sad reflection on where we are currently. I just really really hope our new crop of MP's are savvy enough to capitalise on this and not let up at all. The quotes they can use from these interviews are political gold dust and they cannot fuck this opportunity up. Keir I can rely on. He's already shown that straight away, but they all need to step up to the plate now.
