Just had a look at the Mail's coverage.

The first line of the article

Nigel Farage today won the Clacton by-election after being forced to defend his seat against a string of comedy candidates led by Count Binface.

This must be some new definition of forced; he only had to defend his seat because he quit.

Well, I was wrong. I anticipated yesterday that Nigel Farage would stand up at the declaration of the Clacton result and claim brazenly that his victory was a total vindication for him and proves beyond doubt that he is innocent of all breaches of parliamentary standards and any wrongdoing (c. A Mountbatten-Windsor. passim).

In the event, the frog-faced cunt skipped the count and the declaration altogether, claiming mendaciously that he had been advised by police to stay away because of some alleged unspecified security threat. Instead, he made his victory speech to a bunch of pissed-up tattooed fuckwit supporters elsewhere in Clacton, which GBeebies was the only media organisation permitted by Reform to cover.

The by-election has achieved fuck-al (other than wasting £250,000), least of all any sort of vindication of Farage, or as he put it, a two-fingered gesture to "the establishment". The parliamentary investigation into his lies and breaches of parliamentary standards has already resumed, and without wishing to pre-empt anything, is likely to find Fagash "incredibly guilty" (to quote Mel Brooks).

With regard to 30p Lee, I'll give him this - he knows how to stick to a script. He remains thicker than a Boxing Day turd, though.

Farage got a decent amount of votes. He’s still a danger. And he might have reasoned that this by-election would make it harder to collect signatures for another one post investigation. He may be right.

Sorry, Fox claims to have stepped away from acting to focus on politics. Presumably in the same way that I have stepped away from playing centre forward for Arsenal.

Well, maybe. But I think there are still 10% of Clacton voters that voted for other parties or none who could be persuaded to put their names to a recall petition for a by-election in the cooler climes of September or October.
I suppose Brenda from Bristol might have moved to Clacton, though.

About 8,000 signatures needed for recall. Binface got over 9,000 votes.

Someone posted on Reddit that Farage *is* Binface.

The Count pointed out he only received 95 votes in the Makerfield by-election. So standing against Farage instead of Burnham made him a thousand times more popular.
