It looks like Jenrick has been given the job of defending the indefensible on todays political shows. Apparently he described the Sunday Times as a Labour supporting newspaper.

Apparently he described the Sunday Times as a Labour supporting newspaper.
A smear story, apparently. A smear in the Jeremy Corbyn sense, reporting stuff Farage has said and done.
Jenrick pointed out its old news. It is to the politically engaged but only becomes news to Jo Public when Murdoch or Rothermere says it is.

I suspect the press barons (both Print and GB news) are making a pivot.
They've squeezed nearly two decades of chaos out of their "great man".
They've expended massive energy in protecting his reputation.
He's delivered a referendum, an election and a favourable narrative.
Now they see the cost benefit decreasing.
The reputation washing is growing harder, he mixes with dodgy characters and all he delivers is riots.
They'll return to a revolving door model.
A guess who "cunt of the month" of say what they think common sensers interspersed with thought leading intellectuals.
Nigel's become too expensive.
You can get Two Jenricks, a Kruger and a Pochin for half the price.
When the replacements shit the bed they'll wheel out a superannuated olympian with opinions, or an entertainer from a 1970s sitcom.
Nigel can cross teh Atlantic and board the Johnsonian grift train.
In 20 year's time the press will remember him as an Enoch Powell figure "Best PM we never had".

I now find myself singing "How much is that MP in the lobby?" in me nut.
