Apparently the name for the new party is Jezbollah
"For the many, not the jew."?

Unsure if the Blue Sky embed has worked but Magic Grandad's new party launch has gone as well as you'd expect.

I've seen it claimed on BlueSky that Your Party is a private limited company owned by Corbyn but I've yet to find confirmation, anyone here got anything?

There also seems be some confusion as to it's name, there are a lot of Corbynistas denying it's called "Your Party" but can't tell us what it's really called. Still I expect it'll attract a lot of donations so that's nice.

Although Jeremy Bernard Corbyn is an active director of three companies according to Companies House, a political party is not one of them.
Electoral Commission?

Blue Sky embeds only seem to fail if the account requires you to sign in.

The problem here is that they're quite right on the problems facing society. They're also quite the wrong people to rely on to get anything fixed.
I admit, I'm one of those people who thinks that nationalising things and stopping arms sales and having more allotments would be brilliant, then I hear his name attached to said ideas and I'm suddenly all full of doubt.
Feeling a bit like the Comedian listening to Captain Metropolis's speech here*.
*Watchmen, a comic book, m'lud. In which the idealistic (and rather naive) superhero Captain Metropolis identifies lots of problems with society, only for cynical anti-hero The Comedian to point out that one cannot simply "bust crime", and that many societal problems are beyond the scope of individuals to fix.

Further to Oboogie's question: the most recently registered party on the Electoral Commission's website is called "GB Freedom", registered on the 11th of July.

I can't see them at all on my browser (Firefox) but I do have quite a lot of anti-tracking and privacy extensions turned on.

Funny how so much emphasis is given to "taking on" various business groups in JezSpeak. What's the policy? It's kind of a mirror of the Right, who tell you they'll "take on" everyone they don't like.

If the public get to choose, get ready for Party McPartyface.
Or maybe we’ll get a very early example of how democracy and people power only extends precisely as far as Jez & Co decide it should.

They love this "members decide" stuff. Takes away responsibility for any proper work on trade offs, budgets etc. Vote for your £24bn wealth tax, vote for nationalizing water companies for £20 (as Richard Murphy says can happen), job done. He wasn't very keen on members voting for a second referendum, but he won't have to bother with the EU in his new party. People who care about that will prefer the Greens.

There’s something to this “mirror of the right” stuff. In many ways, Magic Grandpa, Georgie Garglewax, and Zarah Sultana et al are the exact mirror image of Farage and his bandwagon of wankers. Farage is a serial founder of fringe nutjob parties - UKIP, The Brexit Party, Reform. Jez has only started the one so far, but give him time, and Galloway has several under his belt.
Both sides of the mirror are led by individuals who are objectively quite unpleasant characters (though Saint Jez still has his adoring disciples). And both sides are only going to fuck things right up for everybody, one way or another.
Ain’t it strange ?

Well, yes it was. But under Sked it was a mostly harmless bunch of cranks until Farage turned up and decided to mobilise racism and xenophobia. Artistic licence if you like, but it was Farage that made UKIP into the party that actually exerted influence, though still populated by the swivel-eyed.
