Just when we all need Nadine at DCMS, weighing up "are histry" against the outside chance of taking a length off Tom Conti.

Mind you, I note that Thangam Debbonnaire, asked whether Labour would return the marbles to the Parthenon, sidestepped the answer by saying that she was content to leave it to the British Museum authorities to decide in conjunction with Athens. Wee Georgie’ll fix it, indeed.
Sunak, meanwhile, appears more out of touch and foundering every day.

Starmer's operation does seem to be getting better at spotting the elephant traps and giving them a swerve. About time...
Can you imagine if Rebecca Wrong-Daily was asked that? Or Richard Bargain?

This is a bit much from Crace on Sunak’s PMQs performance but hilarious all the same.
Rish! has been brought up to believe his entitlement is total. That anything he wants is within his grasp. All he has to do is get out of bed. And that’s not always essential. Even from under the Siberian goose down duvet, the world was his plaything.
His brilliance is effortless. So when he set his sights on being prime minister it felt like an inevitability that he could bend the country to his will. That a grateful nation would kneel down before him. Yet for the first time he has encountered a spiteful reality. One that dances to its own tune. At first there was confusion. Followed quickly by denial. Now his psyche is disintegrating before our eyes. Inside a small man, there’s an even smaller toddler desperate for his mummy.

Hopefully it’s driven him to the ultimate level of sulk, and tomorrow in a fit of pique announces a GE……..there get out of that Starmer!

I'm sure "Boris" can explain the reference to the Spartan response to Philip.
The Hellenes were doing this stuff millenia ahead of Arkell Vs Pressdram.
Meanwhile here's the votes form the Cypriot jury.

As a senior member of the cabinet, I was never in any meetings when immigration was discussed………denying responsibility is as easy as ignoring laws
Rishi Sunak says he ‘inherited’ very high immigration from Boris Johnson

Laura K posts picture of King Charles, wearing Greek flag tie and pocket square.
He isn't necessarily endorsing "Fuck you, bastard".
But then again he isn't necessarily not.

What was it Jess Phillips said about the government's idea of levelling up meaning a new leisure centre in Hanley?

It's one of the most puzzling things to me, how that somehow the posturing and abject weakness of the Tories isn't seen by their hardcore as a sham...

I think it increasingly is. Sunak might as well be walking through the Home Counties holding a "Vote Lib Dem" sign.

The latest to restrict migration seems even more nasty and has been done for sound bites.
