I do wonder if the Tories are serious about the London mayoral elections. Since Johnson they've run Zac Goldsmith whose whole persona screamed "moneyed establishment". and now Shaun Bailey, whose bio reads like someone who did actually grow up with some poverty and struggle, but who has internalised the mindset of "if I managed everyone else should too, they're just lazy scroungers" . Given how many labour MPs London returns, one wonders if it's just never going to be a place they can win again...Johnson may have been a freak accident.
