Oddly yet to see any English flags for the world cup.

Several houses in the village, which remained unadorned during Fargle's flagwanking season, have suddenly sprouted England flags.

I've seen the first flags on a car and the Asian family across the street have a house best described as festooned.

Quite a few England flags appearing round here but they're easy to distinguish from the handful of Farage flags which briefly appeared last Summer, these are on houses not lampposts.

A few flags appearing round our way, but nothing like the 2024 Euros.

Way back in 2002 when my kids were still in primary school, we had a St. George's flag with the slogan "In Sven We Trust" proudly hanging in a bedroom window.

Maybe they will come on, but we didn’t have much flag shagging around here but yeah certainly a lot more in Euros 2024.

I wonder if it's because it's going on for ages, so people won't be arsed until Ingerlund finally play?

I suspect a lot of football fans have been scared off, afraid they might be misidentified as flag-wankers.
My Scottish football fan mate has hung a Saltire on his porch, it's causing some friction at home because his wife is afraid it might upset some of their neighbours, especially those from ethnic minorities.

None in the vicinity of the McCoy Manor (Glasgow Southside) - obvs!

My Nephew over in Rutherglen has some SFA branded Saltaires zip-tied to local lampposts.

Understand that the lack of St George flags on cars, faces, roundabouts, prams will be touted as a "Woke Ban" by the usual scumbags.

Something to do with Starmer and the Caahncil really supporting Shakira and vaccinations.

Speaking of which the BBC reveals Trudeau has upset at least four people on X because he'd rather ride Kate Perry in a five star hotel than watch a sport his country's shite at.
Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has responded to criticism for skipping his country's first World Cup match to attend a USA game where his girlfriend, pop superstar Katy Perry, performed.
One X user from Toronto called it a "a slap in the face of this country. Distasteful doesn't begin to cover it".
Others called Trudeau a "traitor" and a "fraud" as clips began to go viral on social media.

I once had a teaching colleague who was opining a particular student was gay, a key piece of his "evidence" was the lad wasn't into football.

There's been a counter view in male macho culture which I recall as a kid that regarded footballers as preening pansies who couldn't wait to kiss and hug each other on the pitch.

I remember that, footballers had moustaches and bubble perms and therefore were obviously a bunch of p**fs. My school rugby team certainly regarded the football team as soft and effeminate.

6 days…

I’m even including pubs here, the three pubs haven’t got anything, I know the Wetherspoons doesn’t show it and we are in a Korean diaspora in New Malden but it is a bit surprising especially as one is opening for the South Korean matches at 3am.

Fiddly job, zip-tying fish and chips to a lamppost.
