Afghanistan isn't usually counted as the Middle East, I think they're talking about Iraq.
You're probably right. But Iraq wasn't a NATO thing, so it's very hard to tell.

That's the one.

To give you a flavour:
And which nations unquestionably answered the call and plunged the Middle East into chaos and destruction, far beyond any reasonable idea of self-defence?
Luckily everything works great in the Middle East, and the only problems are caused by the West interfering, and the "real issues" are Zionism and Israel.

I disagree, they are sucking up to Trump - a couple of weeks ago Tommy Robinson was begging Trump to invade Britain - the same Trump who has just called the British army cowards. Tommy's followers worship the military.
There's been a lot of "He didn't mean us."

Trump got a kicking in the Mail comments. Our Brave Boys > Trump.

Thank goodness that even our vilest newspaper's readers aren't totally buried in the cult.

I noticed Fuckwit Fenton and his alter egos are telling the BBC to say outright that Trump has dementia.

Way to go, with a five milliard dollar lawsuit hanging over your head... you fucking insignificant, tedious twat.

I'm yet to see further coverage of the reports of Farage has agreed with Trump, and also the silence of the cretin that is Ant Middleton, who glorifies in things military.

I was impressed to see the amount of "draft dodger" or "draft dodging" mentions once the story broke. Including from news anchors, and none with quote marks.

He’s now threatening 100% tariffs on Canada if they do a trade deal with China. This can’t continue. The Supreme Court is going to have to rule ASAP. He’s costing their donors money.

On another forum I frequent (but in a section I can't access because I'm banned from it), I am reliably informed that all the Farage and Trump apologists are very, very quiet indeed.

This is a classic of the "nationalism doesn't always travel well" genre. In terms of US nationalism, it's fine and dandy to say that the US does all the proper fighting. In terms of British nationalists, or any other country's nationalists, it doesn't come out quite so well.

Read up on Senator John McCain's stunning courage in the military. You'll be repellled by Trump after he hurled insults at his service ten years ago. Unless you're a massive cunt.

I think the word "anyone" is missing, which would make "be" superfluous.

How come so many people on here can't error-correct in their heads?

A week ago, Trump was relaxed about a China/Canada trade deal. Today, he is threatening 100% tariffs on the northern neighbour.

Another huge slice of proof that his word is utterly meaningless. And, anyone who thinks that this Greenland situation has been resolved, really isn't paying attention.

The BBC and Daily Mail are both claiming that Trump has issued an apology for his comments about British troops in Afghanistan but has he really. His initial comments were made on live TV yet his half-hearted apology appeared on his own social media platform. In a few weeks time this apology will be quietly deleted. It seems a bit like the Daily Mail publishing a very small apology on page 19 for a false story splashed across the front page.

From what I have seen, which is not a great deal, that apology has only been extended to UK forces. "Why has he not mentioned our dead?" will be the legitimate cry of a dozen or so other NATO forces which stepped up.

Not that he will care. He'll luxuriate in the chaos.

It wasn’t even an apology. It wasn’t even a non-apology apology.

He seems to be congenitally unable to offer any sort of apology.

Divide and rule. The flagshaggers will say it proves he loves us, the rest of Europe will think we're too friendly with him.
