President Donald Trump has told Congress that US hostilities with Iran have "terminated" owing to an ongoing ceasefire as he argued that he did not need lawmakers' authorisation for the conflict.
"There has been no exchange of fire between the United States Forces and Iran since April 7, 2026," the president wrote to congressional leaders. "The hostilities that began on February 28, 2026 have terminated."
It came on the 60th day since he formally notified Congress of strikes against Iran.
US law requires him to "terminate any use of United States Armed Forces" within 60 days of such a notification - unless Congress allows a continuation.

Rubio's confirmed the "Offensive is over", I am sure if he is referring to the Iran Conflict or Trump speaking

The oil and jet fuel will be moving soon, the World Cup and all the $$$s through visitors, tv streams, sponsors etc that brings in he will take credit for, that won't be jeopardised. But I don't think MAGA thought that far ahead two months ago, self sabotaging consequences aren't something the far right tend to consider.
"These Radical Left lunatics just can't help themselves," they replied.
"This kind of rhetoric is exactly what has inspired three assassination attempts in two years against our President."
21st March:
“Robert Mueller just died,” Trump posted to Truth Social shortly after the news of the former FBI director’s death became public on Saturday afternoon. “Good, I’m glad he’s dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people!”
That's just an election for who the Republican candidate will be. Trump's asserting his stranglehold on the Republican party but in the grand scheme of things it's no worry for the Democrats. That district is 2:1 Republican so the Dems would never tip it. In fact, it's so Republican at the last election Dems did not even field a candidate and Massie won it with 99% of the vote.

He's also endorsed the notoriously corrupt Ken Paxton for Texas Senate v John Cornyn, who was the No,2 Senate Republican until 2024, but has voted with the Democrats a couple of times. Paxton might be favourite to win now, which might conceivably put the state in play in November.

And they wonder why much of the rest of the world answered "USA" when asked what they thought was the biggest threat to world peace
Donald Trump has threatened to “blow up” Oman if it fails to “behave” in a casual aside during a cabinet meeting, as the US scrambles to reopen the strait of Hormuz.
The US president made the threat after reports of talks between Iran and Oman about jointly charging a toll for ships passing through the crucial waterway, which has been all but closed since the start of the US-Israel war on Iran.
“The strait is going to be open to everybody,” Trump declared on Tuesday. “Nobody’s going to control it. We’re going to watch over it. We’ll watch over it. But nobody’s going to control it. That’s part of the negotiation that we have.”
In addition to Oman’s decades-long military and economic ties with the US, the Gulf nation of 5.3 million people has played a mediation role in the war and has itself come under attack from Tehran...
The Strait of Hormuz was open before he started his illegal and unnecessary war. Somebody just shoot this stupid fucking cunt. Please.

I'd prefer flying 787s into the White House and Mar-a-Lago. Just to be sure.
But you'd think with 300 million people and even more guns in that country, you'd think someone could do it. Fuck me, 63 years ago they got Kennedy in a moving car.
At least seven of the nine featured musical acts set to play in a concert series organized by the Trump administration to mark the United States’ 250th anniversary have dropped out, within 48 hours of the lineup being announced.
The only reason they signed up to perform in the first place was that they were mislead. As soon as they found out what it was really for they said "fuck that", (apart from the lead singer of Poison who is either himself MAGA or doesn't have the spine to call them out).

They'll be hitting the phones to see if Kanye West or Nikki Minaj are available. Kid Rock is already ride or die for Trump so he is bound to play.
Other than that, what are you left with? Chris Jericho's Fozzy?

Poison? We're in (Channel 4 era) Chart Show 1987 territory here. Which suits me, obviously, but doesn't scream to me "Big Celebration 2026" to me. Who are they phoning up next? The Soup Dragons and Crazyhead?

They were already scraping the barrel at his 2017 inauguration. I get the impression that it's a case of phoning round talent agencies and asking who's available.

Perhaps they could do a live stream featuring Sean Diddy Combs' singing his own version of 'Folsom Blues'
