Jonathan of Bluesky here, with today's "you hate capitalism and partake in it" standard take, except he's bafflingly from the Left. Does he think the locals had a vote on Trump's ownership of the golf course? What's the hypocrisy? They want to be paid for working on the Irish Open (which is being held at Trump's course this time, but started nearly 20 years before Trump was born).?

Looking at local comments conceding Trump going full-chuckie, a lot of unionists (esp. DUP) are upset as they thought he was one of "them" while plenty of nationalists, as much as they are laughing at the DUP & hangers on, struggle with the realisation that pretty much everying Trump touches turns to shit.
