With the Nightingale hospitals they were quick to set up and obviously very visible, it gave the impression that the government were doing something at at time when they were playing catch up.

Wales went for Nightingale hospitals in a big way too.

Johnson promising a new nuclear power plant every year, it’s lucky all these Purdah breaking announcements won’t happen.

The cunt even tells lies to take the piss out people in poverty (the Brown government introduced the Freedom Pass).

I note that Spaffer is electioneering at the expense of the Ukrainians.

Lefty sneering here. Was this an attempt to take the heat off Johnson's twattery.
Isn't Tim a traditional family values guy? Funny then he'd overlook "stay at home Mums", as we used to call them. Not to mention people who work non-standard hours, retired people, carers, or even people who have the internet and can watch catch up.

The fact he used that to lead with the article when the main headline was a load of incoherent nothing which started with a boastful lie about freedom passes.
There would have been a time when such garbage responses would have sunk a politician. They are empty, actual levelling up costs money.

The truth is that Johnson has lost the Tories 15-20 points since the GE. I doubt Peppa Pig and taking the piss out of poverty stricken pensioners is going to turn the corner for him.

Starmer refused to drawn yesterday as to whether Durham policed have contacted him. So Richard Madeley had his zinger ready on GMB this morning: “Have the police contacted you?”
“No,” replied Starmer. A silent Madeley ends the interview. Love to think Keir had deliberately set Madeley up.

From faces like slapped arses when Macron won in France to this.

Would be refreshing to see broadcast journalists set their news agenda instead of Paul Dacre (the breakfast shows are the worst offenders). If they’re following up a real news story broken by a tabloid, fair enough.

More not good polling behind this.
Tory seats almost certainly flattered by this. The model has them narrowly holding St Ives, with 19.8% voting Labour or Green. A few Reform Party voters around for the Tories to squeeze, but I'd make the Lib Dems favourite.

Don’t expect or want Richard Madeley to be even handed. Just carrying on showing himself what a reactionary arsehole he is. No wonder Judy hides away.

A theory. The renewed focus on the NI treaty comes at a point where Johnson’s job is in jeopardy. It’s an attempt to reopen brexit battle lines on the one hand, but also: it would be remarkably convenient for Johnson if the Home Secretary- who just so happens to be probably the last serious contender for his job who hasn’t shat their own bed - made an absolute pig’s ear of it. Because she will, because she’s an idiot.
After all, it’s not like he gives a shit about NI or anyone else. What’s reigniting the troubles if it helps keep him in No. 10?
