I would say Peter is suffering a bout of depression but that's a made up condition invented by lefties.

Like most of the hard/far right, Hitchens despises our country, so given their current obsession with societal collapse, it was inevitable that he would reach this conclusion at some point. I haven't read the article, where's he suggesting we go? I'm guessing Russia, Israel, Hungary and red state USA.

Whilst that isn't really old now I suppose, recently I was given a new debit card as my previous one had been 'skimmed' somehow.

The new one has an expiry date in 2030 and every time I use it online, I do find myself thinking "will I still be around in 2030?"

Straying into popular culture here, but why am I reminded of an episode in The Professionals where some Army type stands up in a pub, starts singing "God Save The Queen" and then says "this is what's wrong with this country - nobody joined in", or words to that effect?
